How much does decking cost in Sheffield?
Most garden decks land between £3,000 and £12,000 depending on size, material and how much groundwork is needed. Composite costs more up front, timber costs more to maintain. Every quote is free and itemised.
Composite or timber, which should I choose?
Composite for low upkeep and exposed gardens; timber for warmth, budget and a natural look you're happy to oil every year or two.
Do I need planning permission for a deck?
Usually not. Decks under 30cm high that cover less than half the garden fall under permitted development. Raised decks and listed buildings or National Park plots can differ, and we'll flag it on the site visit.
How long does a deck take to build?
Three to six days on site for most garden decks. Larger or multi-level builds take longer, and we give a fixed schedule in the quote.
